Like it or not, the Northern hemisphere shuffles relentlessly towards a long, dark winter. Post-Ibiza, HøFSisters couldn’t help but look to the high fashionistas of the world, whose fast-forward lives are already firmly entrenched in the warmth of Spring/Summer 2017.
So, as we plunge our long arms deep into our wardrobes to find that Autumn/Winter 95 moth-eaten cardi, HøFSisters thought we would rank our Top 5 S/S 17 Looks for Tall Girls.
A Tall Girl’s Take on S/S 17
Marques Almeida – fed up with having to get shirts made to measure because the cuff stops at your elbow? Marques Almeida has heard our prayer – his S/S 17 shirts have been designed with tall girls in mind. Whether colour or monochrome is your thing, these shirts are the on-trend answer to dressing the longest of arms (yes, Zoe!)

Christopher Kane: whoever thought the moment would come when Crocs are cool? Good news for big feet.
Christopher Kane – all hail the man who has not only made flats the shoe of choice for his runway, but has had the balls to say the humble Croc is the must-have footwear for 2017 (refugee inspired, although I’m sure they won’t be priced as such…) I, for one, with feet only slightly smaller than King Kong, will be joining my nephews and nieces paddling in the shallows in a pair of unisex Crocs.
Roksanda Ilincic – this collection gets the HøF Award for sophisticated elegance. The fluid cuts, luxurious materials and warm colour palette was, for me, one of the few shows that was genuinely “ready-to-wear”. Very much on the HøF Wish List.
J.W.Anderson – Han loves nothing more than a pretty dress and flat shoes. Her look of LFW is this stunning strapless dress with asymmetric hem, worn with flower power brogues and enormous earrings of different shapes and sizes. With the number of holes in HøF ears growing at a terrifying rate (and mostly filled with Robinson Pelham’s stunning hoops), the more-the-better trend for earrings is right up our mews.
Michael Kors – for his enormous, beautiful, long-sleeved LOVE jumpers. HøF loves a statement jumper, and one which emits warm vibes… Need I say more?
