A quick post on this Instagram snap, as we have had so many tall women ask our advice on how to find a tall maxi dress that hits the floor.
A Maxi Dress At What Price?
Zoe found this DVF maxi dress on The Outnet, which is a great starting point on your search. This is a very broad generalisation, but typically as you go up the price range you tend to get more material. If you can afford runway styles, you probably are’t going to have a problem finding a floor length showstopper. Catwalk models are, after all, tall and leggy. Once you move into ready to wear, it gets a little harder, but by no means impossible.
HøFSisters believe in owning a smaller quantity of high quality clothes rather than wardrobes full of low quality clothes that only last one or two wears before bobbling, stretching or losing their shape. If our price point often seems high then cost per wear is the reason.
HøF Maxi Dress Brands
The following range in price point from affordable luxury to upper high street – the more expensive brands are worth sourcing from The Outnet or during the sale at other ecommerce sites such as Farfetch or Avenue32. Hitting the floor is style specific (not all maxi dresses are meant to hit the floor – and they don’t need to) so it’s a good idea to try before you buy. The top brands HøFSisters would suggest seeking out when looking for tall maxi dresses: Alexander Wang, T by Alexander Wang, Just Cavalli, Rick Owens, DRKSHDW by Rick Owens, Diane Von Furstenberg, Young Fabulous & Broke, Parker New York and Nadia Tarr/Butter by Nadia.
