Life is full of ups and downs, isn’t it? One minute we are riding high on a wave of positivity and gratitude, the next we are blindsided by an unexpected and unwelcome turn of events. Often, any physical challenges we face are overshadowed by the enormity of the battles in our head, which are much harder to shake off even after the body has mended.
I am referring of course to my Achilles re-rupture, which happened shortly after this glorious shoot day with my sister; an event which, in its own way, represented my return to health and a life on two feet. Two weeks later, instead of marking the last evening before Hannah flew to Cape Town, we spent an emotional four hours in A&E waiting to be told that my life had been reduced to one-leggedness once more.
Bear with me though, because life is back on the up. My body is mending and my mind is rewiring back to positivity and gratitude – thank you for all your messages of support!
And now for the fun part! The excitement that comes with this blog is the announcement that we are launching a new product in the HøF Shop, following on from the success of the P448s. Han and I fell in love with these gorgeous kaleidoscopic cashmere jumpers from Wyse London at a trade fair in the summer. We have curated the best of the collection for tall women and even got our mitts on a limited supply, which are on sale in the shop now (SHOP HERE). Of course with an exclusive whopping 20% off for our loyal newsletter subscribers.
Hannah’s jumper is a loose, relaxed fit with a wide neckline and extra long sleeves, and is available in either cream or soft grey (SHOP HERE). This is a design which you won’t find anywhere else, probably because the sleeves were just too long for mere mortals. This limited stock is available exclusively at HøFSisters, and once it’s gone, it’s gone! So don’t miss out. She has styled it with J Brand boyfriend jeans (go 2 sizes down – they’re enormous!) and her snazzy Jimmy Choo Miami trainers.
My navy crewneck is a finer knit in a fitted style. While not as overly generous as the zigzag, the sleeves are still a great length, perfect for long arms, although I find they are conducive to being pulled up to three quarter length. It is available in this classic navy or in a beautiful charcoal grey. You may recognise my split hem & Other Stories jeans from Hannah’s recent blog A Pop And a Crop, showing how versatile the cropped length is for us tall ones. Hannah paired them with ankle boots, while I prefer the look of an ankle strap and a pointed flat. Though any sort of footwear besides a surgical boot would be most welcome right now. No matter, onwards and upwards! And buoyed up by the colours of the rainbow…..
