When looking for tall-friendly fashion, there are always the obvious, self-explanatory brands. Long Tall Sally, Tall Girls, ASOS Tall, Topshop Tall to name a few. Each will sell something you love and, if we’re being honest, you don’t really need us to flag these to you. Where we really try to make a difference is introducing you to new brands. Beautiful boutique brands that are on trend and live up to our cost-per-wear mantra. A combination of trying on endless brands in London’s best independent retailers, touring the trade shows and trial and error gives us great exposure to the fashion landscape, and we promise to share our best finds with you. The best way to keep in the loop is to sign up to our newsletter at the box on the right sidebar of this page. We can’t guarantee that every single garment by the following designers is going to be suitable for a 6ft plus frame, but we think you’ll be pleasantly surprised to discover that there are a whole load of brands out there, not packaged as tall clothes, which will work a treat for you. So be brave and branch out. And you heard it here first.

A Few HøF Approved Tall-Friendly Clothing Brands

HUNKYDORY

clothes for tall girls boutique designers

Hunkydory – we should really all just move to Scandinavia, because our sartorial strife would be over. This Swedish brand is the bomb 💣. Oversized shirts with super long sleeves, lush knits, minimal athleisure-style pants. All very Hunkydory.

Hunkydory June Shirt, £125

GESTUZ

clothes for tall girls boutique designers

Gestuz – we can hardly say this brand is under the radar given the amount we bang on about them but I guess it’s hardly your average high street retailer either. Stocked on ASOS and Zalando as well as their own site, we are pretty obsessed with their Daydream and Birdie collection of t-shirts and sweatshirts (#callme), and their cold shoulder silk shirts and sweats. Plus the drop waist dresses. In fact, pretty much all of Spring 2017 is spot on.

OUR PICK:

IBLUES

clothes for tall girls boutique designers

iBlues – an Italian name this time and part of the MaxMara Group, you may remember the brand from our workwear blog a few months ago. The genius of MaxMara is that they leave most of their trousers unfinished so everyone can get them taken up to the perfect length – or in our case, leave them as they are. There are some fantastic long trousers in the Yoox sale, like this wide leg style. Spring 2017 is awash with colours and prints – beautiful dresses with unstructured or high waists, perfect for a tall frame. Check out this amazing metallic skirt in the sale.

OUR PICK:

BIRGITTE HERSKIND

clothes fashion for tall women ladies girls boutique designers

Birgitte Herskind – discovered at Scoop last weekend, this is a small collection by an up-and-coming Danish designer focusing on beautiful fabrics and interesting shapes. As a HøF reader you will know that we are drawn to minimal design and timeless elegance – characteristics this brand has in spates. You’ll find tiered skirts, long statement sleeves and cocoon shaped coats – all perfect for a tall frame. We can’t wait to get our hands on this collection.

WILDFOX

Best fashion brands clothes for tall women jumpers long sleeves

Wildfox – I’m a particular fan of Wildfox, regularly skulking around in my Pretty Good At Bad Decisions sweater or Survival Kit t-shirt. The sweaters from this American brand are super-soft with wonderful long sleeves, and the quirky prints and cheeky statements are one way to take life a little less seriously. Plus they sell the occasional 35″+ inseam sweatpants. Want to know what to buy me for my birthday? Anything from this brand.

OUR PICK:

SPLENDID

clothes fashion for tall women ladies girls boutique designers

Splendid – our favourite brand for comfortable basics generous in body and sleeve length. The cotton and modal blend jersey tanks are worth buying in a number of colours and will keep the builders bum at bay. They’re not the cheapest basics but when it comes to cost per wear…

OUR PICK:

SUPERTRASH

clothes fashion for tall women ladies girls boutique designers

Supertrash – unsurprisingly, given their status as the tallest nation on the planet, the Dutch are pretty good at catering to longer limbs. Supertrash is harder to get your hands on these days but is stocked at ASOS and Zalando. Good for knee-length body con dresses and long sleeves.
